Project Description
Using the funds raised in the Offering by the Limited Partnership, a four season project is underway. Phase one is the Q Burke Mountain Lodge & Conference Center; 112 Luxury Guest Suites, 8,000 sq. ft. Mixed Use Conference Space, Leisure and Commercial Services, and phase two consists of a Tennis Complex, Indoor Aquatic Center and expanded Mountain Biking facilities. All improvements will be located within the Burke Mountain Resort, East Burke Vermont, a targeted employment area designated as rural with a current population of less than 20,000 people within the State of Vermont, a USCIS Designated Regional Center overseen by the State of Vermont’s Agency of Commerce and Community Development (“VACCD”).
Burke Mountain is Jay’s newly acquired sister mountain in the Northeast Kingdom made up of 270 acres of true Vermont skiing and riding. Burke has a devoted following, a rich history and a deeply successful racing heritage with a ski academy that has produced over 55 Olympians.
Burke Mountain has invested over $1 million of snowmaking upgrades that have allowed skiers and riders to enjoy amazing mountain conditions. The most important addition Burke Mountain and its region needs is on-mountain accommodations. The Q-Burke Hotel and Conference center will offer immediate lift access to high capacity lifts offering novice through expert terrain. The views of the mountain and the Kingdom from the lodge are unbeatable.
In addition to the on-mountain hotel, a world-class tennis facility, state of the art acquatic center and indoor mountain biking facility will be constructed. All three of these facilities will serve hotel guests as well as be available to members of the public.
Jay Peak Resort, incooporation with the State of Vermont, has developed six highly successful EB-5 investment projects. Since 2007, Jay Peak has welcomed over 700 investors from 76 countries and have a 100% success record with I-526 and I-829 applications. In doing so, the Jay Peak EB-5 projects have created thousands of jobs in the Northern Region of Vermont.
Project Timeline
Phase 1 of Q-Burke, the Hotel and Conference Center, is projected to commence business operations during the 2015/2016 winter season (subject to no unforeseen delays or weather factors). It is projected that the remainder of the Project will commence construction during the summer of 2016.
