The Trump administration announced the Gold Card on February 25. Unlike the EB5 program, it is an immigration-by-donation program. The donation amount is $ 5 million. It grants tax relief for non-US income. The holders do not have to reside in the United States. We expect the source of funds analysis to be lighter than that of EB-5. That said, the details of the program are still not publicly available. The EB-5 program, in contrast, is a job-creation program. The price tag is much more reasonable. It is an immigration-by-investment program. Initially, when the administration announced the Gold Card, they indicated it would replace the EB5 program. During subsequent announcements, the government officials led us to believe that the two programs would co-exist.
