Nov 17 - EB5 Projects Live from Atlanta from EB5Projects on Vimeo.

In this special program from the offices of Cozen O’Connor in Atlanta, Ismael Fernandez, PhD (Greengate Consulting) interviews four prominent EB-5 practitioners, and service providers, including Jacqueline Talpa (Tempus), Luis Prado (EB-5 Hotels & Investments), Scott Bettridge, and Rogelio Carrasquillo (both at Cozen O’Connor). The interviews reveal how the uncertainty in legislation and regulation in the EB-5 pilot program is affecting the practice of raising money through the EB-5 Pilot program and business immigration in general. The interviews are followed by a panel hosted by Dr. Fernandez in which all guests share their opinions and predictions on how the uncertainty in the EB-5 program may roll out after December 8th.

The EB-5 Pilot Program is expiring as part of a Continuous Resolution this Friday December 8th. With no action, all Regional Centers will no longer qualify to host EB-5 projects, and the only option available to investors would be EB-5 Direct, where immigrant investors would be responsible for creating 100% of the jobs directly. Listen to experts from Cozen O’Connor, EB-5 Hotels & Investments, and Greengate Consulting, debate what to expect in the months to come.

Listen to this program to understand:

  • How the uncertainty on EB-5 legislation is impacting the market
  • A cost efficient solution for transferring capital and provide source of funds
  • How to cope with change in EB-5 requirements
  • What are the sources of uncertainty and what can we expect
  • What changes are more likely in the short term
  • How Regional Centers need to shift their strategy in the following months
