As Partner with Cozen's O'Connor New York office, Rogelio "Roy" Carrasquillo advises domestic and foreign companies, multinationals and entrepreneurs on their business activities and investment considerations in the United States and throughout Latin America, Asia and Europe, including complex cross-border transactions. Mr. Carrasquillo has experience in handling equity and debt offerings registered under U.S. securities laws and the issuance of equity and debt in global transactions not subject to the registration requirements of U.S. securities laws, principally Rule 144A and Regulation S offerings. Mr. Carrasquillo also counsels corporations on corporate governance and securities regulation matters.
Mr. Carrasquillo speaks fluent Spanish, and is proficient in Portuguese and Italian.
Prior to joining Cozen O' Connor, Mr. Carrasquillo was Partner with Fox Rothschild New York, Akerman New York, Counsel with Gibbons New York office, an associate in Fried Frank's and Kaye Scholer’s New York corporate departments, a partner and Head of the Corporate & Finance Department at Martinez Odell & Calabria, one of the largest corporate law firms in Puerto Rico, the Secretary of the Board of Directors of First BanCorp (NYSE: FBP), the financial holding company of FirstBank Puerto Rico and worked in Shanghai, China as a senior associate with Kaye Scholer.
