EB-5 SERIES PART 2: STARTING AN EB-5 PRACTICE

666 5th Ave New York, New York 10103 , New York, US
03/01/2016 7:00PM - 9:00PM (EST)

As can be witnessed by the fact that the annual 10,000 visa quota for the EB-5 immigrant investor category was reached for the first time in FY2015, the popularity of the EB-5 visa has grown immensely in the past few years. As a result, more and more immigration attorneys are fielding inquiries from potential clients interested in exploring EB-5 as an option for themselves or their children studying in the United States.

On January 21, 2016, Advantage America EB-5 Group’s Managing Director, Julia Yong-hee Park presented Part 1 of AABANY and KALAGNY’s joint EB-5 CLE Series titled “(Almost) Everything You Wanted to Know About EB-5 But Didn’t Have Anyone To Ask” which had nearly 60 attendees.

On Tuesday, March 1, 2016, Julia will present Part 2 of the EB-5 series titled “Starting an EB-5 Practice?” for attorneys who are exploring adding EB-5 to their practice mix. While the class will be from the perspective of immigration attorneys (i.e. viewed from the perspective of counseling potential investors), attorneys in other practice areas who are interested in what goes into an I-526 petition should also find this class meaningful. Non-attorneys interested in EB-5 are also welcome to attend.

Attendees will have an opportunity to review a sample EB-5 offering package including an EB-5 Business Plan, Private Placement Memorandum, Subscription Agreement and Operating Agreement and learn how all the pieces fit together. We will also discuss what the USCIS looks for in a Source of Funds report and proposed changes to the SOF rules in the pending EB-5 Integrity Bill.
