H. Ronald Klasko, founding partner of Klasko Immigration Law Partners, served as the program co-organizer at the 2017 Invest in America Summit in China.
The summit was held May 6 in Shanghai, May 7 in Beijing, May 12 in Shenzhen and May 13 in Guangzhou.
Klasko represents thousands of foreign investors from all around the world, over 50 approved regional centers and numerous U.S. developers and business owners who have sought his counsel in connection with using the EB-5 program to raise capital for investment projects.
His counsel has included applications to designate new regional centers; applications for pre-approval of projects within regional centers; having projects adopted by existing regional centers; structuring projects to be EB-5 compliant; preparing template I-526 petitions; and advice on successfully marketing EB-5 projects.
Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young partner Patrick R. Kingsley served as both a panelist and panel moderator at the American Bar Association's fidelity and surety law committee's spring meeting on May 11 and 12 in Naples, Florida.
Kingsley was a panelist for "The Parties' Obligations Under the Performance Bond Relative to a Principal's Default," which discussed what constitutes a principal's default and what actions a performance bond may require related to providing the surety with notice of a default, making a formal declaration of default and or formally terminating the principal's contract.
He also moderated the panel, "The AIA A-312 Performance Bond Revisited: A panel discussion addressing key issues, potential pitfalls and practice tips for addressing adverse case law."
Kingsley, chair of Stradley Ronon's construction practice group, has tried more than 40 cases involving diverse legal claims and fact patterns in several different forums across the country.
He handles a wide variety of complex commercial disputes, focusing much of his practice on construction and surety litigation.
