The Centre City Building, one of Dayton’s first downtown office towers, has been sold for nearly $1.7 million.
It has been purchased by a limited partnership whose managing partner specializes in using foreign investment to help fund development projects.
A group called the Centre City Partners LP has bought the Centre City building at 40 S. Main Street, according to county real estate records.
The seller, Centre City Group LLC, bought the property for $450,000 in 2009.
Centre City Partners was incorporated in April 2015 by First Developers LLC, whose managing member is Robert Lubin.
Lubin is a Virginia attorney who works on EB-5 projects, which are part of a federal immigrant investor program.
Under the program, foreign investors are directly eligible to receive green cards if they contribute at least $500,000 to a U.S. business venture that preserve or create new jobs.
