Homeier & Law's Michael Homeier will be a featured speaker at CDFA Intro EB-5 Finance Webcourse.
Dear client and friends of Homeier & Law, P.C.:
Michael will be speaking on a panel of the Council of Development Finance Agencies’ Introductory EB-5 Finance WebCourse on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 11:15 am – 12:30 pm (PST) about the topic “Understanding EB-5 Securities Laws: EB-5 investment opportunities must be offered in compliance with U.S. securities laws. This session will discuss in detail Regulations D and S, broker/dealer vs. finder’s issues, and the unique risks associated with EB-5 investments.”
The EB-5 Program is a federal foreign direct investment, immigration, and regional economic development program that provides access to capital to U.S. businesses and creates American jobs at no expense to the American taxpayer. Globalization has spurred an unprecedented rise in wealth overseas, as well as increased the speed of capital between nations. By building immigration benefits into investment incentives, the EB-5 Program provides a welcome avenue for overseas wealth to be delivered to the U.S. economy – tapping into new opportunities and opening a new frontier of development finance programs.
Join CDFA and its strategic partner, Invest In the USA (IIUSA), for a two-day WebCourse designed for all levels of expertise. IIUSA, the national trade association for the EB-5 Regional Center Program, has brought together a diverse panel of EB-5 experts to review the various aspects of this interdisciplinary program. Attendees should be prepared for an in-depth look at the basic requirements of the EB-5 Program and its components on the first day, followed by a more practical focus and “big picture” analysis on the second day.
