It’s election season again, so I’d like to point out what our Republican Party has done for us lately.
Lies. The foods listed in the Sept. 24 issue of the Argus Leader as being fed to kosher inmates are fed to no inmates. Maybe 15-to-20 years ago, but certainly not now. In fact, the kosher meals consist of four tofu and rice dishes rotated over and over again. Kosher is more than just food, it is also the conditions under which it is served and eaten. None of those conditions are kosher. I’m sure when I notify the union that the state has said they approved it, you will pay for a lawsuit.
SB-70 is a failure. We are more crowded now than ever. So much so, that the state fire marshall ordered the immediate removal of more than 70 inmates from a prison trustee unit.
Corruption. EB-5, enough said. Add to that a rating as the most corrupt state in the country.
Crime. The “legal” kidnapping of Native American children for state profit. Judge Jeff Davis should be here with the rest of us.
The state’s top Republicans have repeatedly proved they feel they are above the law. They have also made it clear they could care less what voters want. Even worse, they invite outside interests to attempt to make your laws for you. Maybe it’s time voters remind the GOP they aren’t the only ones running for office.
