The Current, a Marriott Autograph Collection hotel, opened on August 22nd in Tampa Bay, Florida. On the ground floor, the 10-story, 180-room hotel features Julian, a fine dining restaurant. Upstairs, the Rox, a rooftop lounge, offers a 1,500-square-foot air-conditioned indoor space, a 2,500-square-foot outdoor terrace, and sweeping views of both the Tampa and St. Petersburg skylines. It is the highest rooftop bar in Tampa Bay, says Stan Lifsey, President of Lifsey Real Estate & Holdings, the hotel’s co-developer. Sponsored by Atlantic American Partners, the Current was the firm's 23rd EB-5 project. All 18 investors who filed I-526 petitions related to the project have been approved.
