Port of Longview
The Port of Longview is a deep-water port authority, established in 1921 by Washington State Law, and operates as a unit of local government. Facilities include eight marine terminals (docks), waterfront industrial properties, specialized trailers and rail cars.
The first phase of construction will start in spring 2014 and complete before the end of 4th Quarter. Completed facilities will consist of four 1000 feet berth, a container yard and agricultural produce packing house.
The Second phase of construction on a new terminal facility, just 4 miles downstream of the river. It will be able to handle 500,000 containers and to support the main cool chain logistics for West Coast of US and the Pacific Rim.
The Third phase is to use USD $100 Million towards the purchase vessels and other fixed assets. After that, Great Ocean will own 3 automatic freezing vessels, 3 Panamax Reefer Container Ships, Five River Tugboats and 32 Inland Barges.
