Busted! Daniel Yoon Finally Charged By Merced County Da's Office
An investigation into the Sierra Academy of Aeronautics in Atwater has led to the arrest today of Daniel Yoon, one of the two owners.
As MCNTV News viewers may recall in our in-depth story back in October 2015, Mr. Yoon had been allegedly using the other owner’s name to apply for loans. Many Merced County residents could not understand why the Merced County DA would not pursue charges when the evidence was first available.
No other news agency picked up the story either, which left even Merced’s City mayor Stan Thurston wondering why.
Federal agents raided the Atwater flight school on Monday as students and faculty were told to leave the facilities and it is assumed that it is a part of a broader investigation into the school’s finances.
