Green and Spiegel's Matthew Galati Defends the EB-5 Program in Interview with Associated Press
U.S. Investors and Entrepreneurs Division manager Matthew Galati was featured in a recent Associated Press article, "Chinese spent $24B on U.S., other 'golden visas.'" The article was published in a variety of nationwide and local media, including CBS News, The Los Angeles Times, The Salt Lake Tribune, Yahoo! News, and many local and regional newspapers.
Matt's interview follows news from earlier this month that Nicole Kushner Meyer, sister of White House advisor and son-in-law of the President Jared Kushner, had pitched the family business's EB-5 project to investors in China. Many saw this as suggesting improper influence over the immigration process.
In his interview, Matt stressed that despite recent controversy, the EB-5 program creates needed jobs for American workers and provides vital, tax-free funding for projects of all sizes and those without ties to the White House, including hotels, restaurants and small businesses from coast to coast. "That's the program working as it should, and more often than not, it is working as it should," Matt said.
