MAYFAIR HOTEL PROJECT
The property is a 150,000 square feet, 15-story, concrete, steel, and brick hotel building. It has 295 rooms (city records indicate 336 units), a four-level parking structure containing 248 car parking spaces, and is operating with full liquor license and bar. The hotel was built in the early 1920′s, however, major remodeling of the property worth $26 million was completed in 1983 before the 1984 Olympics. This enabled the hotel to retain its “Grandeur of the Era” characteristics, with glass etchings, brass fixtures, skylights, and impressive pillars in the lobby atrium. Its remarkable setting together with its location in the heart of Los Angeles’s Business District, makes this hotel one of Los Angeles’s cosmopolitan hotels. The Orchid Garden Restaurant and Celebrity Lounge (Bar) has also been recently remodeled.
