Convention Center Hotel Project


Project Description

City of Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio all have relatively same size convention center in downtown area. While Dallas has 10,000+ hotel rooms and San Antonio has 18,000+ hotel rooms, Houston only has less than 5,000 hotel rooms in the downtown area.
Houston is in great need of hotel rooms located in downtown to serve the convention center. To encourage hotel development in downtown Houston and to serve the conventions, the city of Houston passed a new city ordinance in 2008 to offer tax rebates to new hotel development
