Project Description

RPD Hotels, LLC (“RPD”) is presents the planned Hilton Memphis Downtown Hotel project. The project will be a 275-room full service luxury hotel located at the intersection of Fourth Street and Linden Avenue, across the street from the FedEx Forum and one block south of the Beale Street entertainment district. The hotel will carry the Hilton Hotel name and it will be managed by Hilton Management Services. The purpose of the project is to increase the number of first class quality hotel rooms in the downtown Memphis market. The building will be an 8-story tower, with approximately 13,000 square feet of meeting space; an outdoor swimming pool on the second floor; 10 larger than average suite bedrooms; 24-hour room service and a signature restaurant along with a lobby bar. Our project will serve as a catalytic thrust to the surrounding downtown area community development initiatives planned by the City of Memphis including the redevelopment of the public housing sites located within the proposed HOPE VI community.

Additionally, this hotel project will positively change the landscape south of the FedEx Forum where development efforts have stalled and deliver a much needed economic boost during and post- construction. The presence of a luxury hotel with its array of amenities will complement and restore attention to the area’s rich history and significant landmarks. We have signed a letter of intent with the Hilton Corporation. Hilton will serve as the flag designation (franchisor) and manager of the hotel for a minimum 20-year period. RPD will serve as the lead developer of the project.
