The Homestead Resort
The Homestead Resort was recently acquired by a partnership of prominent local businessmen who have invested a significant amount of money to renovate the guestrooms and improve management at the resort. Utah Regional Investment Fund (URIF), a USCIS-approved Regional Center, is sponsoring a partnership of only 20 investors ($10 million) to assist the owners in recapitalizing the resort, completing renovations, and adding thermal pools in order to increase profitability. This investment will be in the form of a “first mortgage” loan made to the existing owners, who have invested $6 million of their own capital in the project. The value of the resort, $6 million capital investment by strong local owners, and the excess land and development rights included in the 152-acre parcel all contribute to make this a very safe investment; in addition, the fact that the resort is already open and is already providing jobs and economic impact to the local community result in an ideal project for EB5 investment
