Masuda Funai offers a full range of legal services to handle all aspects of establishing and growing our clients' businesses. Each of our practice areas has developed expertise in specialty disciplines, yet our unique structure allows for maximum flexibility in combining different practice areas to address each specific project. Founded by Thomas Masuda in 1929, Masuda Funai has grown to over 45 attorneys and three offices, located in downtown and suburban Chicago and Los Angeles. The firm is 37% minority-owned and the professionals in our Midwest and West Coast offices service our more than 1,500 clients, many of which have been represented by the firm for decades. Masuda Funai strives to establish long-term relationships with clients by providing customized legal services in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Bryan Funai counsels U.S. based and foreign clients on corporate structure, reorganizations and the establishment of subsidiaries. Mr. Funai advises clients on the establishment of corporations and limited liability companies, as well as on divestitures, consolidations and sale of companies. He often represents clients in the drafting, reviewing and negotiation of contracts, including, sales, confidentiality, purchase, acquisition, stock purchase, joint venture and license agreements.

As an experienced business immigration attorney, Mr. Funai counsels clients on the immigration ramifications of various corporate structures. He prepares business plans to comply with the myriad of immigration laws and advises clients on the immigration consequences of corporate reorganizations. Because he is familiar with all types of immigrant and nonimmigrant visas, he advises clients on which is best suited to the company's needs. He also counsels executives on their eligibility for permanent residency and the application process required to obtain this status.

Mr. Funai speaks Japanese and frequently travels to Japan to stay abreast of the changes taking place at the Consular Posts in Osaka and Tokyo.
