An EB-5 Vision to Revitalize Detroit

An EB-5 Vision to Revitalize Detroit

Michigan Governor Rick Snyder has bought into the potential of EB-5 investment. He sees EB-5 as a way to rebuild the ghost town that used to be the automotive capital of the world – Detroit. The governor’s vision is based on creating new jobs for Michiganders with the help of EB-5 investors. To stay focused, the State of Michigan itself has opened its own Regional Center to attract foreign nationals whose monies will guarantee at least 10 jobs per investor. As a by-product, Michigan gains business-savvy talent as the investors gain their Green Cards. A study by the Immigration Policy Center indicates that immigrants to Michigan are six times more likely to start high-tech businesses than U.S.-born residents.
