Turkish EB-5 and other immigration by investment options webinar

New York, New York, US
Monday May 6th 2 pm - 3 pm ET

  1. What are the various immigration routes to the US? We hear about E2, L1, O1, EB1, EB2, EB2-NIW and EB5 and potentially others. Which of these are the most popular for those wanting to pursue immigration by investment? Please elaborate on the requirements, cost, and timeline.
  2. What are some of the biggest challenges Turkish would-be immigrants face in their applications? For example, can you please touch upon the source of funds challenge and how to overcome it?
  3. One of the most popular routes to obtain a green card by investment is EB5. Although obtaining a green card by directly investing in one’s own business is one of the EB-5 routes, most choose the Regional Center route. Why is that? After a general description of the program, can you speak about the benefits of the Regional Center model over the direct investment model?
  4. Given that the minimum investment amount is relatively high, comprising a significant portion of our client’s net worth, how can they mitigate the risk of their investments and minimize the risk of choosing the wrong investment?
  5. How to plan for immigration from a tax standpoint is on everybody’s mind. Nobody wants to owe taxes to the US because of obtaining a green card. How can our clients plan a capital tax strategy with their existing appreciated assets before moving to the US and obtaining a green card?
  6. Our follow-up question is also on everybody’s mind. Everyone is aware that the tax system here is different than in Turkey. The basic principles could be the same, but they know that many sophisticated corporate structures intended to shelter income and keep more of one’s earnings legally exist in the US. Many clients who retain you at the beginning of their journey before immigrating to the US must continue to use your services even more extensively after immigration. Can you please enlighten us on your services and how our clients could benefit from them by availing themselves of them?
