If Boston’s new restaurant by CHLOE. was a person, she would be “a little edgy, playful, kind of flirty, and kitschy. She’s a cool girl that’s running off to yoga… And she definitely doesn’t match her clothes.” So says Samantha Wasser, founder of the vegan restaurant by CHLOE. that already has locations in New York, California, and now in the Seaport and The Fenway.
Mirroring the ridiculously healthful fare such as matcha kelp noodles and spinach-laced hummus, the restaurant interiors are designed to reflect the vibrant colors of their plant-based food.
Wicker swings and color-pop benches highlight sassy striped flooring and graphic walls. Lights are dimmed as the night goes on while music pulsates throughout the space. Wasser says her visual inspiration for by CHLOE. Stems from vintage grocery signage and the Beatnik history behind their first location on NYC’s Bleecker Street. But there is a thoroughly original spirit to the Boston locales. “Fenway is our biggest space,” says Wasser. “We have marble French doors, outdoor seating, and chairs literally in the window.”
