Baker Tilly Capital, LLC, a boutique investment bank and subsidiary of nationally recognized accounting and advisory firm Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP (Baker Tilly) is pleased to announce the addition of Troy Nehring to its growing EB-5 services practice.

“Many development projects throughout the United States are realizing the benefits of the EB-5 Investor Immigration program,” Michael Fitzpatrick, Baker Tilly partner and leader of the firm’s EB-5 practice, said. “As the demand for specialized broker-dealer advisory solutions continues to expand, so does our team. Leveraging our deep service experience, we feel expanding our team is an important step to serve the growing needs of our clients. We are happy to have a team member with Troy’s extensive experience and reputation in the market, both domestically and internationally.”

Nehring brings a strong background in EB-5 compliance as well as real estate and business transaction issues; including purchase and sale, merger, acquisition and development. Prior to joining Baker Tilly, Nehring had substantial experience reviewing and preparing I-924 regional center applications, drafting regional center amendments, drafting responses to Requests for Evidence (RFE) and drafting and structuring I-526 exemplar petitions.

As a member of the EB-5 consulting practice, Nehring advises clients on issues related to EB-5-compliant business plans, project development, funding strategies and fulfillment of essential job-creation requirements. Nehring is based in Seattle, adding to Baker Tilly Capital’s national reach with leading EB-5 advisory services. He is a regular speaker on EB-5 topics throughout the United States and globally.

The EB-5 program is administered by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS). It is a program intended to promote economic growth in the United States by enabling foreign-born investors to apply for permanent residence if they make a qualified investment in a commercial enterprise within the U.S. to create or preserve 10 permanent, full-time jobs for qualified U.S. workers.
