Colleen Barry is Gibson Sotheby's International Realty's Director of Productivity. She works with our talented team of real estate agents to enhance their services and grow their businesses, through thoughtful one-to-one guidance and group coaching. Her tenure with Gibson Sotheby's has now lasted more than a decade. She has been a proud part of the leadership team, which has tripled the firm's sales and raised its stature to number five within the state (source: MLSpin).
Ms. Barry firmly believes that the answers to better productivity can be discovered outside of the industry. She is known for exploring the findings of other disciplines and professions to uncover new ideas, which she shares with our agents in sales meetings, workshops and in her coaching sessions. She uses the philosophies and teachings of Seth Godin, Simon Sinek, Bob Burg, Stephen Covey and Shawn Achor, to name a few.
As someone well-acquainted with Sotheby's International Realty, she assists agents with leveraging the power of the brand to achieve more sales and higher price points. Ms. Barry’s one-to-one sessions are centered around understanding the agent's goals and devising both a strategy and plan to achieve them. She provides an outside perspective and acts as an accountability partner to ensure consistency of efforts. She notes that humor is an integral part of the process.
A New England native, Ms. Barry was born and raised in Connecticut before moving to Massachusetts to attend the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. She has lived in Greater Boston for nearly 20 years and now resides in Belmont. She is a member of the Belmont Hill Club where she is truly a terrible tennis player. A lover of the visual arts, Ms. Barry is also a member of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and the Decordova Museum of Art.
In her personal time, Ms. Barry is an avid traveler and photographer. Her photos of England, Italy and the American Northwest have been displayed in art shows. She recently assisted a photographer/videographer in filming a documentary and several music videos.
