Shawn Dishop is currently providing analytical services, primarily in the area of credit risk, as an advisor with USAdvisors. He offers over nine years of progressive credit research experience, most recently as a credit officer at UBS Investment Bank and before that as an analyst at Standard and Poor's. Shawn graduated near the top of his class with an MBA from Cornell University and prior to that had obtained an undergraduate degree in Business Admin. from the University of Richmond. At UBS Shawn has had primary credit authority or covered as an analyst a broad range of industries in the United States including High Tech, Telecom, Media, Utilities, Defense, Transport, Metals and Mining, Paper, Bulk Chemicals, and Pharmaceuticals. Product focus included credit exposure for trading activities in interest rates, fixed income, and equity derivatives as well as vanilla lending. While based in London, he also worked to set credit methodology for Credit Officers and Analysts to employ at the bank globally. At Standard and Poor's, Shawn worked in the High Tech group with top access to management teams during a tumultuous period in 2000-2001, with primary analytical responsibility for companies ranging from conglomerates like 3M to niche tech companies to key players in the rapidly growing communications infrastructure field. Shawn regularly published reports for companies he was responsible for and fielded questions from the press and investors.
