Ed Curtis
In 1993, Ed ended a short career with a Madison avenue advertising agency in NYC and relocated to Dallas Texas. He enrolled in graduate school at The University of Dallas and two years later, began a career in commercial banking which spanned 20 years taking him to the executive level at various banking institutions.
During that time, he worked to grow two banking institutions to sale and acquisition, with a known reputation of building an unwavering corporate culture that executes team oriented, process driven hyper growth strategies. He co-designed a proprietary cloud based incentive tracking model to accurately monitor pay, profit and risk which led to a successful sale of a $2 billion privately owned bank.
Since exiting the financial industry, Ed has traveled the world with business owners, economic development consultants and Governors Office officials, collaborating with CEOs interested in relocating or expanding their businesses into Texas.
Ed has licensed and trademarked an economic gardening model that is nurturing strategic partnering relationships with the Governors Office, major sports franchises and high profile corporate executives in Texas. His desire to change the way we approach economic development and break regional barriers in Texas has led to the success of YTexas.
Ed’s passion is in serving as a facilitator of information and resources exclusively for relocating executives looking to make a mark in the great state of Texas.
