Rachel Zoghlin

Rachel Zoghlin, Senior Attorney, is an experienced litigator and devotes her practice to defending individuals in removal proceedings and assisting non-citizens in securing permanent visa status in the United States.  Rachel is known for her work with individuals seeking humanitarian forms of protection and relief from removal, including asylum applications, U and T visa petitions, petitions for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), and petitions under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). 

She also represents individuals in family-based visa petitions, immigrant and nonimmigrant visas based on extraordinary ability, naturalization applications, requests for prosecutorial discretion and stays of removal, among other areas. She practices before the U.S. Immigration Courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and Maryland family courts, and also represents clients before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Customs and Border Protection, and U.S. Consulates abroad. Rachel first joined the firm as a law clerk in 2012. She frequently volunteers her time to consult with low-income populations about immigration matters, and to train and mentor new attorneys in immigration defense work.
