Shanker has over 30 years of Investment Banking and capital markets experience in corporate finance and structured finance with large securities firms: Wachovia Securities (now, Wells Fargo Securities), Prudential Securities and Citigroup, in addition to several years of such experience with smaller securities firms in New York City.
He has a broad range of investment banking experience in the financial institutions sector covering banks, insurance and finance companies. Such experience included private and public equity, strategic advisory, structured debt and equity securities, and international transactions.
Shanker was instrumental in the development and execution of a variety of ABS, RMBS, hedge fund-linked, insurance-linked, and tax-exempt-linked securities transactions.
He holds an MBA from Columbia University, and has PhD and MS degrees in Physics.
