Have national immigration practice and have handled cases in California, New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Florida, Michigan, Georgia, Washington, Nevada, Arizona and other states.

Have represented large Japanese corporate clients for immigration matters in banking, real estate, automobile, auto parts, hotels, trading companies, cosmetics, restaurants, sporting and golf equipment, travel, airlines, consumer electronics, entertainment and film, computers, multimedia. Have also represented famous Japanese entertainers, singers, musicians, film directors, models, and artists.

In the estate area, have handled numerous probate court cases, written joint and single living trusts, simple and complex wills, and durable power of attorneys. Have prepared and filed Estate Tax Returns, form 706, with the Internal Revenue Service. Have represented clients before the Internal Revenue Service in estate audits. Have handled complex litigation in probate court. Represented substantial Japanese nationals with estates in the United States.

BIO

Timothy D. Takata is a third generation American born in Chicago, Illinois. He attended the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Engineering. He then attended law school graduating from Loyola University School of Law in 1974. He has handled probate and estate planning cases for over 30 years. Mr. Takata presently practices law in Torrance, California specializing in probate and estate planning, Immigration and incorporation.

Mr. Takata is a member of the State Bar of California Trust and Estates Section. He is also a member of the Estates and Trust Section and the Immigration Law Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He is a frequent seminar speaker and has given seminars for the Japan Business Association and various business and community organizations.
