Mr. Inderjit Ahluwalia is the managing attorney of The Ahluwalia Firm. His practice is dedicated to U.S. Immigration and Nationality Law only. He is an active member of the Santa Clara chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), the South Asian Bar Association (SABA); the Tennessee Bar Association (TBA); and the American Bar Association (ABA).

Mr. Ahluwalia is a graduate of McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California. He has been practicing law since 2000. Mr. Ahluwalia started his legal career as a junior attorney in India, and later worked with a multinational immigration law firm in San Francisco, California.

Mr. Ahluwalia is an immigrant to the U.S. Since emigrating, he has focused on immigration law, working in an immigration and nationality law firm. He has advised many foreign nationals, businesses, executives, and professionals on a variety of business and family immigration related matters. He is a tireless advocate for his clients. Mr. Ahluwalia understands the critical role that valued employees play in the success of a business, particularly when they require the transfer, hire, or retention of an employee who possesses technical skills.

Mr. Ahluwalia has successfully represented foreign nationals before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), the Executive Office for Immigration Review(Immigration Courts), the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Mr. Ahluwalia is admitted to practice law by the State Bar of Tennessee and thus is licensed to practice federal law. As immigration law is federal law, Mr. Ahluwalia is authorized to practice immigration law and represent clients before the immigration agencies in any state.   

Recently, Mr. Ahluwalia was recognized for his meaningful contribution and commitment in immigration law related pro bono work. He was awarded the Volunteer Merit Award 2012 by Honorable Judge Philip Pennypacker on behalf of Pro Bono Project of San Jose, California.
