Howard Gould is a practicing corporate attorney at Gould Law in Los Angeles, Calif. He holds a California real estate broker’s license and is a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Attorney Gould’s practice covers many areas of commercial law with specific emphasis on business formation and transactional agreements, litigation, corporate and partnership disputes, and real estate transactions. His EB-5 litigation experience includes assisting an EB-5 consultant against a $12 billion fund refusing to pay consulting fees on a successful $100,000,000 fund raise.
Throughout his more than 35 years in practice, Attorney Gould has dealt with a wide variety of industries, nationalities, and issues ranging from the mundane to the extraordinary, especially in his litigation practice. These industries include retail, restaurants, manufacturing such as the plastics industry, aerospace related industries, banking, provisions to common carriers, financing, homeowners associations, and many others. He has attended numerous Boards of Directors meetings, obtained the appointment of provisional directors, and handled various types of appraisal issues in both the corporate setting and real estate matters.
In the past, Attorney Gould also served as a judge pro tem for 10 years, and as an arbitrator and a mediator. His background further includes extensive service with various types of non-profit activities. Finally, for over 20 years Attorney Gould’s firms have been a member of an international lawyer referral network which most recently included 100 member firms in over 50 countries, and which has a well-established history of advising foreigners on U.S. domestic legal issues. He is also part of a 3000-plus member networking group based in California and with a presence in Boston, in addition to other networking activities.
Attorney Gould received his A.B. in physics from Columbia College of Columbia University in New York City, and earned his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. He has been admitted to the California State Bar since 1978.
