Ali Brodie focuses her practice on global business immigration and employer compliance law. She has a wide range of experience handling employment-based immigration, family-based immigration, and naturalization/citizenship matters.
Ali represents clients in a variety of immigrant and non-immigrant matters including treaty investors and traders, professionals, managers and executives, immigrant investors, and marriage-based permanent residency. She counsels employers on Form I-9 employment verification matters and regularly conducts audits of corporate clients’ employment eligibility verification documents on both the Federal and State levels, prepares compliance plans for businesses, counsels clients with regards to minimizing exposure and liability in government audits, and trains human resource personnel on the proper completion and maintenance of the Form I-9.
Ali also focuses on the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program. She works with developers across a variety of industries, as well as private equity funds on developing new projects that qualify for EB-5 investments. This includes the creation of new Regional Centers, having projects adopted by existing Regional Centers or through pooled individual EB-5 petitions. Ali also provides counsel to foreign nationals obtaining permanent residency through individual or Regional Center EB-5 investments, and has prepared and filed I-526 petitions for investors from around the world.
