Board-certified in Immigration and Nationality law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, Brent is skilled at handling complex immigration issues. He has represented Fortune 500 corporations in hiring, retaining and obtaining employment authorization for foreign nationals; he regularly counsels clients in establishing company policies regarding hiring procedures, I-9 compliance, employment of foreign nationals, and national origin discrimination issues.; and he provides employment-related immigration training to Human Resource professionals and legal staff for companies of all sizes.
Brent also represents clients in obtaining legal permanent resident status for top medical professionals, artists, athletes and entertainers through the Extraordinary Ability Employment Based (EB-1) category – and for foreign national investors through the EB-5 category.
He has been featured in the Texas Super Lawyers Rising Stars directory (a Thomson Reuters service), a distinction earned by only 2.5% of young attorneys in Texas, every year since 2009. Prior to forming Huddleston Law Group, Brent led the Immigration Practice Group at one of Dallas’s largest and most prominent commercial law firms.
EDUCATION
Brent earned his J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2002. He earned a B.A. in History from Texas Tech University in 1998.
