Robert A. Perkins is the sole partner and founder of Robert A. Perkins & Associates, PC. Since the establishment of the firm in 1994, Mr. Perkins’ focus has been in Employment and Family Based Immigration.
Attorney Robert Perkins has represented many companies and individuals within the United States and abroad. Mr. Perkins’ experience and knowledge of immigration have made him a nationally renowned attorney in his field.
Mr. Robert Perkins has been practicing Immigration Law for twenty (20) years now. Mr. Perkins graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University Of Illinois College Of Law and worked with the prestigious national firm Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal and later McCullough Campbell and Lane. He has been served as an Adjunct Professor of Immigration Law at University of Illinois Law School in Champaign, Illinois and is a frequent speaker on US immigration topics on radio, television and at various seminars around the world.
Mr. Perkins is popularly known as “The Immigration Professor” due to his approach of educating clients in detail about their immigration situation in person. He has published articles in newspapers, and legal journals and has successfully litigated against the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (previously known as the Immigration and Naturalization Service) many times resulting in several precedent setting cases
Mr. Perkins has extensive experience in all type of immigration matters including deportation/removal defense, Business Immigration (H-1Bs, L-1s, E-2s, EB-5s, J-1s, PERM), Family Based Immigration, BIA and Federal Appellate work.
Mr. Perkins is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and The National Immigration Project. He is past Chapter Chairman of AILA’s Young Lawyer’s Division in Chicago. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Gilbert Hall School for kids with autism in Culver City California.
