Teodora is an Associate in our San Diego office with extensive experience in all facets of immigration law, including administrative and federal appeals and immigration compliance. She counsels clients in a broad array of industries with a focus on the life sciences and biotechnology sectors on global mobility and business immigration issues, represents individuals in various family immigration matters, as well as foreign investors in complex temporary or EB-5 immigrant visas. Teodora is a Specialist in Immigration and Nationality Law, certified by the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization, and has handled numerous employment and family-based immigration cases, as well as removal defense, naturalization and other special immigration cases over the past thirteen years of her law practice. She is also experienced in immigration appeals and has successfully argued before the U.S. Federal Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit Court. Teodora is frequently invited to speak on immigration law topics and is also a faculty member of the University of California San Diego ABA Approved Paralegal Program, teaching an immigration law class.
Teodora is dedicated to pro bono work and chairs the pro bono efforts of the San Diego office. She provides services as a Volunteer Attorney for the Casa Cornelia Law Center in San Diego, California for the preparation of VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) or U visa petitions for immigrant victims of domestic violence and certain crimes, and represents pro bono asylum seekers and unaccompanied minors in Immigration Court hearings. She also provides pro bono services to DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) seekers through the San Diego Dreamers Assistance Network.
