James Zhou is a member of the state bar of California (SBN: 272487) and the American Bar Association (ABA). He is an active member (Member No.: 34539) of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Mr. Zhou is also licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Mr. Zhou received his J.D. from University of Pennsylvania Law School, his B.S. from Peking University, and his Ph.D. from Columbia University. Before establishing his own practice, Mr. Zhou worked for several prestigious private law firms, including Hogan & Lovells, LLP and Irell & Manella, LLP, and the Asian Pacific American Legal Center (APALC), the largest Asian American legal and civil rights organization in the nation.
