Mr. John J. Chang is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of MCFI and has served in this capacity since its founding in 2008. Most notably, in his capacity as CEO, Mr. Chang successfully closed $100 Million dollars in EB-5 financing for the Maryland Live! Casino located in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. He is also the founder and CEO of International Development and Investment Corporation (“IDI Corporation”), a full service staffing placement company with affiliate agencies in Korea and China.
In addition to his immigration related businesses, Mr. Chang is the founder and CEO of Caljex Capital, LLC, which is a private equity firm managing financing and investment in the commercial real estate, hospitality and gaming business sectors. Mr. Chang also previously served as the Chairman and CEO of Empire National Mortgage and Investment, Inc. which underwrites and provides residential and commercial loan services. In 2009, he received a Citation of Service from the Governor of Maryland, Martin O’Malley, for his economic development services and achievements within the State. Mr. Chang has also been a vital part of the Korean community since the 1970’s. He founded and served as the President of the Korean Society of Maryland and the Korean Businessmen’s Association of Maryland. Among other achievements, Mr. Chang served on the Mayor’s Advisory Council of the Korean American Society for Employment and Economic Development in the City of Baltimore from 1986-1988 and was the former President of the Korean American Citizens Association of Maryland. Mr. Chang was the Senior Vice President and Secretary General for the Federation of Korean Association in U.S.A., which represents 2.5 million Korean Americans in the United States and served for six years as an advisor to the President of the Republic of Korea for the National Unification Advisory Council. Mr. Chang served as Chairman of the Board of Sejong Scholarship Foundation, USA and has a BS degree in Economics from Youngnam University.
