Larry Ice is a former CPA with over 25 years’ executive level experience in commercial real estate directing the finance, accounting and information technology functions.
Before joining American Life, Inc. in 2012, Larry served for 10 years as vice president and chief financial officer of Kemper Development Company in Bellevue, Washington, a prominent Puget Sound area developer/owner/operator/manager where he successfully structured, negotiated and placed over $1.5 billion of debt and equity capital to finance expansion of the company’s real estate portfolio. He also led strategic financial planning, spearheaded a major corporate restructuring and engineered numerous improvements to the company’s financial reporting and information management systems.
Prior to Kemper Development, Larry managed the finance, accounting and information technology areas for Fisher Properties, Inc. in Seattle which was a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fisher Communications, Inc.
Before his career in real estate, Larry worked for 6 years as a CPA specializing in audit, tax and real estate, beginning with Coopers & Lybrand in Kansas City, Missouri. Larry is a 1980 graduate of the University of Kansas and holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Business. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Washington Society of Certified Public Accounts, the Urban Land Institute and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
