Mr. Bourgoignie helps his clients, both corporate or individuals, establish themselves in the United States. Mr. Bourgoignie represents his clients before the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Department of State, and the U.S. Department of Labor, concentrating his practice in immigrant and non-immigrant visa processing, lawful permanent residency issues, U.S. citizenship, labor certifications, employer compliance issues, and matters tangentially related, yet critical to, the representation of foreign national clients, including but not limited to transactional and real estate issues. Mr. Bourgoignie was Florida Bar Board Certified as a specialist in Immigration and Nationality Law from 2000 to 2010, and has been an active member of the Florida Bar (since 1991) and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (since 1994). In addition, Mr. Bourgoignie previously served as a member of the Florida Bar's Certification Review Committee for Immigration and Nationality Law (Vice-Chair, 2003-2004),and as Vice-Chair of the Immigration Advocacy/Legislative Sub-committee of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce's Immigration Committee (2004-2005). Mr. Bourgoignie's professional affiliations include The Florida Bar, the American Immigration Lawyer's Association (AILA), and the French-American Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Bourgoignie received his Juris Doctor degree from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, and he holds a B.A. degree from the University of Miami. Mr. Bourgoignie has also studied at the Universite Catholique de Louvain (Belgium) and the Universidad Compultense de Madrid (Spain). Mr. Bourgoignie is fluent in English, French and Spanish, and in 2012 was decorated by the Republic of France as a Chevalier in the Ordre National de Merite.
