Joe Zlab
At Path America, Joe leads project design and construction as the Vice President of Construction, manages worksite environmental cleanup and oversees permitting and design of excavation and shoring work. Prior to this, he led a branch office for KPFF Consulting Engineers, which Joe opened and operated for eight years. Here, he directed the design of mixed-use, multi-family, retail, high-rise, hotel and educational facilities, as well as parking structures.
Joe is known for his ability to look at projects from the vantage point of each stakeholder,and for his strengths in delivering outstanding large-scale developments, on time and within budget.
Even in his free time, you’ll find Joe building, as both a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and for an organization that constructs homes for needy families in Mexico. He’s also currently working with his five children on a custom go-cart, and occasionally squeezes in a mountain climbing trip at Mt. Rainer or Mt. Whitney.
A native of southern California, Joe holds M.S. and B.S degrees in civil engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and LEED accreditation from the USGBC.
