For over 60 years, US Cast has manufactured the highest quality American made cast acrylic tubes and rods at our 30,000 sq. ft. factory in Elmer, NJ, approximately 30 minutes from Philadelphia. Following the death of its founder in 2012, the surviving family invested capital and hired interim new management, improving the manufacturing facilities, production, quality assurance, logistics, and customer’s service. The company, formerly known as United Resins, was rebranded as US Cast, Inc., and continues to offer its products through its distribution channel of more than 750 customers.
Under the new leadership, US Cast created an online marketing presence, added membership and participation in the IAPD (International Association of Plastics Distribution), deployed manufacturer’s reps in select territories, and solidified its sales and distribution channels and major customer relationships. This has resulted in 20% growth in both customers and revenue.
While a niche player, there is only one US-based competitor, presenting a significant market share gain opportunity. Capacity exists to double the current revenue base. US Cast enjoys relationships with 750 customers. 170 of these are active, regular buyers, and contribute to annual revenue of approximately $1.5MM. Supplier agreements with every major distributor, large independents, and select display products and large end-users not served by our distributors. US Cast has an exclusive relationship with one major distributor, accounting for 30% of annual revenue, US Cast sales are nicely divided across its customer base (shown here are the “top 20” locations or customers.) The gap between active customers and those locations with which US Cast has vendor agreements represents the yet untapped growth potential.
US Cast’s factory is approximately 29,725 sq. ft. and sits on 23.32 acres of property in rural Elmer, NJ in the Pittsgrove Township, situated at the center of a triangle of Philadelphia, PA, Wilmington, DE, and Atlantic City, NJ.
