Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Immigration and Nationality Law, William J. Flynn, III is a shareholder in the firm’s Labor & Employment Group where he focuses largely on immigration legal matters.
He has represented foreign nationals and U.S. corporations that employ foreign nationals. In this capacity, he represents clients before the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Department of Labor and U.S. Department of State.
He has advised clients from over 50 countries in investor visa matters, where he is assisted by specialized tax and corporate partners.
Bill’s practice has focused exclusively on Immigration Law for the past 32 years. His clients include multinational corporations, medical, financial and academic institutions, athletes and performers, information technology providers and users, manufacturers and individuals. He has been an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association since he joined in 1980.
He was listed as a leading immigration lawyer in Florida by Chambers USA and was selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America®, both since 2006. Bill has also been recognized in the Florida Super Lawyers list consecutively since 2006. He has garnered an AV® Preeminent distinction, the highest available mark for professional excellence from Martindale-Hubbell’s Peer Review Ratings.
Bill is and has been a member, officer or director of numerous civic and trade organizations, including the Tampa Bay International Trade Council, of which he is a former chairman. He has lectured extensively on immigration law topics, and has published a number of articles on immigration law in professional journals, newspapers and textbooks. He served as an adjunct professor of Immigration Law at Stetson University College of Law for 18 years.
