Competency and Expertise: Wendy is a founder and partner of the Firm. With over 30 years of experience in immigration law, Wendy represents some of our nation's finest universities, medical centers, research institutions and private employers, as well as the Mexican Consulate in Philadelphia. In addition, Wendy handles some of the Firm’s most complex family-based matters as well as the establishment of EB-5 Regional Centers and individual investor petitions. She currently serves as Chair of the Immigration Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association, as Vice Co-Chair of the Immigration Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, as President of HIAS Pennsylvania (an organization dedicated to assisting immigrants and refugees), as Co-Chair of the USCIS/ AILA Liaison Committee of the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and as a member of the AILA Board of Publications Committee. Wendy is listed in The International Who’s Who of Corporate Immigration Lawyers as one of the best business immigration attorneys internationally (www.whoswholegal.com). Wendy is a frequent local and national speaker on employment and family-based immigration as well as on advocacy issues. She is a recipient of the HIAS PennDOT Advocacy Award. Wendy is fluent in Spanish and conversant in French.

Publications and Presentations: Wendy is the author of several leading articles in her field, and has written extensively, particularly regarding immigration options for foreign physicians and employer compliance. These publications include: "Caring for America’s Patient Population: A Summary of Immigration Options for Foreign Physicians"; "PERM, Take One Aspirin and a Zantac Before Proceeding: The Alien Labor Certification Process for Physicians"; and "Practical and Planning Issues in Populous Conrad 30 States: The King Solomon J-1 Waiver Approach, Immigration Options for Physicians". Furthermore, Wendy co-authored an article for the ABA’s Labor and Employment Law section: "Representing Corporate Clients: A New Union between Labor, Immigration and Criminal Counsel". She is also a frequent national speaker and advisor regarding a variety of immigration law subjects.

Education and Additional Qualifications: Wendy is a 1980 graduate of the George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. and a graduate of SUNY Binghamton. She is a former supervising attorney of the Immigration Department of Traveler’s Aid Society in Chicago and a former Staff Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), in Falls Church, VA. In April 1988, Wendy, with Jane Goldblum, formed Goldblum & Hess. Since such time, Wendy and Jane have dedicated their firm to providing high quality and reasonably priced immigration law services.
