Elena received her B.S. and Ph.D. in Philosophy from Moscow State University (Russia) and a J.D. from California Western School of Law (San Diego, California). Prior to her legal career, she worked as an Art Historian and Critic at the Institute of Art Historyin Moscow, Russia. She also worked for the U.S. Department of States as a Senior Foreign Service National at the American Embassy in Moscow, Russia.
