TCRC manages and operates a designated Regional Center under the EB5 Regional Center Visa Program. Under a pilot program enacted in 1992, and regularly reauthorized since then, foreign investors may qualify for EB5 visas by investing through regional centers designated by USCIS based on proposals for promoting economic growth. TCRC has partnered with the University of Houston and is focused on developing real estate projects to promote economic development and University expansion. Additionally, TCRC invests and develops other real estate projects.
The Texas Collegiate Regional Center is a “Regional Center” under the The United States Citizen and Immigration Services (USCIS) EB-5 program. The USCIS administers the Immigrant Investor Program, also known as “EB-5.” The program was created by Congress in 1990 to stimulate the U.S. economy through job creation and capital investment by foreign investors. Under a series of re-authorized programs certain EB-5 visas also are set aside for investors in Regional Centers designated by USCIS based on proposals for promoting economic growth.
