The Encore Georgia Regional Center projects are intended to create positive economic change throughout the above areas, particularly through investment in the state’s designated Targeted Employment Areas (TEAs). A targeted employment area, as defined by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, is a rural area or an area that has experienced unemployment of at least 150% of the national average rate.
As specified by the requirements of the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program [Section 203(b)], the minimum qualifying investment made within a TEA is $500,000 per investor, while the minimum for those made outside of a TEA is $1 million per investor. With this emphasis on TEAs, the Encore Georgia Regional Center will empower investors with a lower threshold of investment and will enrich those areas with a greater potential for positive impact.
