Kennedy & Mohn, P.S. was founded in 1988 by Paul Jinneman, with Tom Kennedy and Michael Mohn joining the firm in 1991 and 1992. Each of the original principals of the firm spent the early years of their careers in the Seattle office of Pannell, Kerr, Forster (PKF), an internationally recognized hotel consulting and accounting firm.
In 1991, when PKF closed its Seattle office and pulled out of the Pacific Northwest marketplace, our firm continued to provide hotel-specific consulting and appraisal services to developers and lenders throughout the Pacific Northwest. Responding to client needs, we began offering brokerage services in 1999 and since this time we have successfully represented the interests of our clients as buyers and sellers in numerous transactions throughout the Pacific Northwest.
The firm has operated under several different names over the last 20 years, reflecting the gradual evolution of principals and key staff. Originally founded as Jinneman & Associates in 1988, then shifting to Jinneman, Kennedy & Associates in 1991, Jinneman, Kennedy, & Mohn in 1997, and most recently, Kennedy & Mohn, following Paul’s retirement in 2005. Despite the evolution of the name, we continue to provide to our clients the same high-quality, personalized service on which the firm was founded.
In 2008 we began using our new name Hotel Realty NW ®, which operated as a division within the umbrella of Kennedy & Mohn, P.S. At the end of the day, this name communicates quite simply ‘what we do’. Our passion and our commitment remains focused solely on hotel-related real estate issues in the northwest.
