Edwards Economics, LLC is a comprehensive economic consulting company with specialized expertise in economic modeling for EB-5 applications and analysis. Beyond EB-5 specialization, Edwards Economics conducts economic impact analysis and labor/workforce studies for numerous economic development organizations and industry. The firm is headed by Dr. Judson Edwards who uses various research methods and tools, such as IMPLAN and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), to present the most accurate job creation estimates for clients. Edwards Economics works closely with clients to develop customized research, not the typical "cookie cutter" reports conducted by many economic development consulting firms.
Dr. Judson C. Edwards is the Principal of Edwards Economics, LLC. In addition, he serves as Director of the Center for International Business and Economic Development and tenured Associate Professor of Economics at Troy University—Troy Campus. He is the author of the recently published the book, Digital Deliverance: Dragging Rural America, Kicking and Screaming, Into the Information Economy, which studies the economic development implications of broadband telecommunications in rural communities. He received a B.S. in Economics and Geography from Troy University-Troy Campus and M.S. and Ph.D. in International Development from The University of Southern Mississippi. Before returning to his alma mater, Dr. Edwards served as tenure-track faculty at The University of Southern Mississippi and the University of North Dakota. While at Southern Miss, he directed the Economic Development Master’s Degree Program and led numerous applied research projects for economic development organizations and industry. Dr. Edwards specializes in EB-5 regional center applications and job creation modeling, economic impact analysis, cost-benefit analysis, cluster analysis, telecommunications and retail trade studies. Currently, he serves as the Managing Editor of Applied Research in Economic Development, Editorial Board Member, Community Development: Journal of the Community Development Society and Editor of the Troy University Business and Economic Review. Dr. Edwards is Advisory Economist for America’s Center for Foreign Investment, a Board Member of The Council for Community and Economic Research (C2ER), Member of the Agriculture Advisory Board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and member of the Special Advisory Committee to the Executive Council of the Alabama Rural Action Commission and the Alabama Rural Broadband Initiative of Governor Bob Riley.
