Dai & Associates was formed with one specific goal in mind: serving the growing needs of China-based companies wishing to enter and do business in the United States. Years ago ¨C and unlike other Chinese law firms ¨C we correctly foresaw the trend of Chinese business expansion into the global market, especially into the United States. More important, we recognized the need Chinese companies would have for an American law firm that combined expertise in United States law and an intimate understanding of its clients¡¯ backgrounds, hopes, fears and anxieties as they entered the new and highly competitive United States marketplace.
Our strategy for achieving our goal was simple. Dai & Associates was formed, and is managed, by Chinese-born attorneys familiar with Chinese culture. In turn, those attorneys brought in experienced American-born attorneys. We believe that this combination is better able to serve the needs of the Chinese business community than American dominated law firms which employ a few Chinese attorneys ¨C and fewer still in management positions.
Over the years, we have developed expertise in those areas of law that will be needed by Chinese companies, including Cross-Border Mergers and Acquisitions, U.S. Capital Market, International Business Transaction and Investment, Cross-Border Litigation and Arbitration, Outbound Investment and Foreign Direct Investment, and Intellectual Property and Technology.
The road has not been an easy one, but we can now proudly say that we are the largest Chinese-American law firm in the State of New York. Dai & Associates, which is in strategic partnership with a number of law firms throughout China, has successfully represented hundreds of Chinese enterprises and clients both in China and in the United States.
