Basically Aquaponics is a natural method of raising fish, filtering the water so it is converted into natural fertilizer that is feed to plants in a hydroponic growing environment. The plants consume the nutrients in the water, and the water is returned back to the fish in a closed cycle. Environmentally sustainable. We consume less land, water and fossil fuels than conventional farming.

Garden Fresh Farms is located in Maplewood, MN a suburb of St. Paul and is a year round local grower. The business is family owned and operated.

We don’t believe this is sustainable, that is why we have worked with many experts in different fields of study from energy, lighting, aquaculture, horticulture, water treatment, environmentally friendly packaging and harvest ergonomics to grow food in a sustainable method right in your back yard.
