Peek inside the first rentals of the Domino Sugar Refinery redevelopment

The first residential building in Two Trees’s remaking of the Domino Sugar Refinery site in Williamsburg is now welcoming its first renters, and along with that is opening its model apartments for peeks inside the new building. Field Condition stopped by 325 Kent along to get a closer look at the 522-apartment building.

The first group of residents started moving in last week, but only 87 of the building’s 522 apartments were ready at the time. (That includes the studio, one- and two-bedroom model units Field Condition photographed.) More of the apartments will become available in the coming months. Of the rentals currently up for grabs, prices range from $2,746 per month for a studio, and go up to $5,946 per month for a two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit.

The apartments are decked out with white oak hardwood floors, a Bosch washer and dryer, Bosch stainless steel kitchen appliances, Caeserstone countertops, in-sink garbage disposals, fob apartment entry, and energy-efficient track lighting. Building amenities, also photographed by Field Condition, include a 2,000-square-foot courtyard, a lounge, a gym, and a common roof deck with grills, cabanas, and areas for outdoor dining.

The building is designed by SHoP Architects, who are also behind the master plan for the redevelopment site poised to include 2,800 apartments in total. The massive waterfront park designed by James Corner Field Operations will debut next summer.
